In 2022 I found a sponsor for the creation of the 12th section of the WLNAP project entitled “The Indigenous Women of the Northeastern Nations”. His desire was a piece that included his origins in Michigan and his wife’s beginnings in Vermont. One of the first things I learned about the Northeastern nations is that geographically Minnesota is its beginning and North Carolina is the end.

Ada Deer (1935 -2023) was a member of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin.
Faye Magnuson reside in Michigan and is from the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi.
The Ottawa Tribe of Ohio is little known due to their history with the US Federal Governments treatment of the tribes across Ohio.
Glenna Wallace : Chief Glenna Wallace of the Shawnee of Ohio.
